Breaking Taboos, Building Confidence: A Step Towards Menstrual Health Awareness
On 24th August 2026, a menstrual hygiene awareness programme was organised in collaboration with Divya Diganta Trust at University High School, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
The session brought together 140+ adolescent girls to learn about menstrual health, hygiene practices, and the importance of breaking myths and social taboos around menstruation. With expert guidance from Ms. Mamta Biswal, Resource Person and Menstrual Health Expert, the programme encouraged open conversations and greater awareness, followed by the distribution of sanitary hygiene kits to all participating girls.
A conversation today can help build a more confident tomorrow.
It was a meaningful community engagement initiative that brought awareness, dignity, and practical support together, encouraging young girls to approach menstrual health with confidence and understanding.
